Job summary

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) seeks an Accounting Associate to maintain accuracy and completeness of the books, file tax remittances, and ensure compliance with BIR requirements, with reports to management and regulators.

Key tasks include preparing entries for UCAG-BKD, computing monthly taxes for banks, filing via EFPS and E-BIR, submitting documents to BIR/SEC/Makati LGU, coordinating with external auditors, and keeping GL/SL balances updated. The position is based near Makati.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy or management accounting.
• Knowledge of complete accounting process; familiar with tax computations, BIR regulations and accounts reconciliation.
• Must reside near Makati or be willing to be assigned in Makati.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting entries for UCAG-BKD transactions.
• Compute Monthly Income Taxes and Gross Receipts Taxes for Banks.
• Regular tax filings and remittances via EFPS, E-BIR Facility and other modes.
• Submit reports to BIR, SEC and local government units (Makati LGU).
• Coordinate with external auditors and submission of schedules.
• Update GL and SL balances for UCAG accounts and monthly proofs.
