Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a MEMS quality engineer to ensure back-end product quality across packaging, assembly and test. You will track quality indicators, manage non-conforming lots, and collaborate with Operations, PQA and Product Development to embed quality in every step.

The role requires a graduate in engineering or physics with 5+ years of experience, plus familiarity with packaging and final-test programs. A Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MEMS product quality with state-of-the-art back-end practices.
• Review changes in packaging, assembly and test and monitor quality indicators.
• Manage non-conforming lots at assembly and final test.
• Track quality metrics across back-end production plants.
• Collaborate with Operations to embed quality requirements.
• Coordinate with PQA and Product Development for best practices.
• Support changes to assembly in collaboration with HQ Quality.
• Contribute to Line Stress plan and review results.
• Assist transfers of product/tech between manufacturing sites.
• Coordinate customer audits and follow-up actions.

YOUR ROLE

Mission

• Ensure MEMS product quality through the state-of-the-art back-end manufacturing quality practices

Main Activities

• Overview the quality of the changes related to package, assembly and test
• Manage the non-conform lots at assembly and final test
• Track the quality indicators of back-end production plants
• Eradicate issues generate at back end with focus on problems affecting customers
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure that solutions adopted in back-end production embed the quality requirements
• Collaborate with PQA and Product Development teams to ensure cross fertilization of lessons learnt/best practices
• Manage changes relative to assembly in collaboration with HQ Quality
• Contribute to Line Stress plan definition and review results
• Support product/technology transfers among manufacturing locations
• Manage and support customer audits, including audit agenda coordination, preparation, follow‑up actions, and communication with customers

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

Core skills required

• Quality oriented mindset
• Graduate in engineering, physics, and scientific in general
• Competence in package, assembly process, final test program as a plus
• Green belt is a plus
• Years of experience 5 years and above
