Job summary

Personal Collection Direct Selling Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services using NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS Lambda.

You will independently own modules across the development lifecycle, convert business requirements into robust server-side logic, and build RESTful APIs consumed by Angular applications and other systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Willing to accept a project-based role (6 months).
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services using NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS Lambda.
• Own assigned backend services and modules throughout the development lifecycle.
• Translate business requirements into maintainable server-side logic.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with Angular and other systems.
• Implement API validation, authentication, authorization, logging, and response standards.
• Design backend with clear separation between API/controller, application, domain/business logic, integration, and data-access responsibilities.
• Implement reusable business rules and domain services in NestJS.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services, APIs, and application components using NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS Lambda.
• Independently own assigned backend services and modules throughout the development lifecycle.
• Translate business requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria into maintainable server-side application and domain logic.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations consumed by Angular applications and other internal or external systems.
• Implement appropriate API validation, authentication, authorization, exception handling, logging, and response standards.
• Design backend services with clear separation between API/controller, application, domain/business logic, integration, and data-access responsibilities.
• Implement reusable business rules and domain services in NestJS rather than unnecessarily embedding business logic within orchestration or infrastructure components.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional backend/software development experience, preferably developing APIs, services, and cloud-based applications.
• Willing to accept a project based role (6 months).
• Strong hands‑on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS or comparable Node.js backend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture concepts, including controllers, services, dependency injection, modules, domain/business logic, and data-access patterns.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, including request validation, error handling, API versioning, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience implementing business rules and server‑side application logic in maintainable and testable service components.
