Job summary

Acclime is seeking an Azure Platform Support Engineer to join our cloud engineering and support team in Metro Manila. You will ensure the health, stability, and performance of Azure-based data and analytics platforms, focusing on monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, platform automation, and continuous improvement.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in monitoring, operations and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Excellent English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to work night shifts 10:00 PM–6:00 AM PST.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health, performance, and capacity of Azure data/analytics platforms (Databricks, ADF).
• Troubleshoot issues across Azure ecosystem for quick resolutions.
• Provide operational support for data pipelines, notebooks, ETL/ELT and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Cloud Architects, and DevOps to resolve incidents.
• Maintain observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights, and dashboards.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks.
• Work with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, source control, release management, deployments.
• Document runbooks, knowledge bases, and procedures.
• Run Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
• Ensure professional interactions with customers.

Job description

We are looking for an Azure Platform Support Engineer to join our cloud engineering and support team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, stability, and performance of Azure-based data and analytics platforms. You will focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, platform automation, and continuous improvement.

Duties

• Monitor the health, performance, and capacity of Azure platform components, including Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory (Pipelines).




• Troubleshoot issues across the Azure ecosystem, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption.




• Provide operational support for data pipelines, notebooks, ETL/ELT workflows, and CI/CD processes.




• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Cloud Architects, and DevOps teams to resolve platform incidents.




• Maintain and improve observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and custom dashboards.




• Automate repetitive operational tasks.




• Work with Azure DevOps (ADO) for CI/CD, source control, release management, and deployment workflows.




• Maintain documentation, knowledge base entries, runbooks, and operational procedures.




• Run and document Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).




• Ensure all internal and external customer interactions are handled professionally and with the highest level of service.

Required Skills

Candidates must have hands-on experience and proficiency in the following areas:

• Azure Databricks – clusters, jobs, layers, notebooks, and workspace operations.




• Azure Data Factory (ADF) – pipeline monitoring, debugging, triggers, and Integration Runtimes.




• Azure DevOps (ADO) – repositories, pipelines, and Boards.

Other Relevant Requirements

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.




• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.




• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly in monitoring, operations, and troubleshooting.




• Strong operational understanding and hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services.




• Experience with automation and scripting, preferably using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.




• Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting.




• Demonstrated ownership and a proactive approach to improving platform reliability and performance.




• Service‑oriented attitude with patience, thoroughness, and strong attention to detail.




• Willingness and availability to work night shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM PST.
