The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer serves as a key technical specialist in building, automating, and maintaining robust cloud foundations, platform architecture, and specialized environments for enterprise applications and modern data platforms (such as Databricks). This role partners closely with development and operations teams to elevate deployment practices, enhance system reliability, and drive modern cloud ops workflows across remote environments.
Design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient platform infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Provision, maintain, and optimize platform environments supporting modern data and analytics stacks (including Databricks platforms).
Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern deployment automation to support seamless operational delivery.
Drive Modern Ops practices, including automated monitoring, logging, alerting, cost optimization, and self-healing systems.
Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and perform platform tuning for performance, reliability, and security.
4+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
Deep hands-on experience provisioning and managing infrastructure on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Proven experience setting up and managing cloud platform environments (e.g., Databricks platform setup, Kubernetes, containerized clusters).
Strong understanding of modern CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and Modern Ops methodologies.
Fluent English language proficiency (both verbal and written).
Nice to Have: Databricks Certified Platform Architect / Engineer or AWS/GCP Professional Cloud Architect certifications.
Nice to Have: Experience in automated cost management (FinOps) and platform security compliance.
Cloud Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Pulumi.
Data Platforms & Containers: Databricks Infrastructure Setup, Kubernetes, Docker, Containerized Clusters.
CI/CD & DevOps Tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Automated Deployment Pipelines.
Observability & Operations: Automated Monitoring, Logging, Alerting Systems, FinOps, Self-Healing Systems.
Infrastructure & Platform Engineering: Deep capacity to design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud environments.
Automation & CI/CD Mastery: Strong ability to streamline software delivery through robust infrastructure code, container orchestration, and automated pipelines.
Modern Ops & Cost Optimization: Focus on system reliability, proactive logging/monitoring, and FinOps practices for cloud resource efficiency.
Complex Problem Solving: Analytical troubleshooting skills to resolve deep infrastructure issues and tune system performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Clear English communication skills to partner smoothly with distributed engineering, data, and operations teams.
