Job summary

ActionLabs is seeking a Database Administrator to manage MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases across on‑premises and Azure environments. You will optimize queries, implement backups and high availability, and ensure security and compliance.

The role involves automation scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash, plus Tier 2/3 support and thorough technical documentation to support cloud migrations and modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Azure cloud databases and managed services.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, backup/restore, HA/DR, patching, and security.

• Manage and maintain MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases on‑premises and in Azure.
• Perform SQL scripting, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Job description

Manage and maintain MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases across on-premises and Azure environments, including Azure SQL and managed database services. Perform SQL scripting, query optimization, performance tuning, backup and restore, high availability, disaster recovery, patching, and database security and compliance. Support Azure cloud database operations, migrations, monitoring, and modernization using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, IaC tools, and CI/CD practices.

Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash, while providing Tier 2/3 support with strong experience in database administration, security, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
