Job summary

Trinity Life Sciences seeks an experienced Database Administrator to administer, monitor, and optimize Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL across Azure and AWS cloud environments. You will ensure data integrity, implement security controls, and manage backups, DR, and migration tasks.

Main responsibilities include performance tuning, automation, on‑call support, and collaboration with data engineering and security teams to support enterprise data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years hands‑on database administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong administration experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases.
• Strong SQL scripting, query optimization, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity‑planning skills.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, high availability, patching, and migration activities.
• Experience supporting cloud‑hosted database environments and applying database security best practices.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and consistently align to US Pacific Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Snowflake, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL across multi‑cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
• Ensure database availability, reliability, performance, scalability, and data integrity across development, test, and production environments.
• Perform installations, configuration, upgrades, patching, migrations, and lifecycle management.
• Manage backup, restore, disaster recovery, replication, high availability, and business continuity processes.
• Implement RBAC, network policies, authentication standards, and security best practices.
• Support data ingestion, transformation, sharing, and integration processes.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 database support and participate in on‑call and incident response.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, cloud, and data engineering teams across regions.
