Job summary

IBM is seeking an Application Developer: AWS Cloud FullStack to design and implement cloud-native applications. You will craft scalable microservices, SPA interfaces, and CI/CD pipelines on AWS using Java, Python, or Golang.

You will work in an Agile environment, applying modern DevSecOps practices and collaborating with teams to deliver robust, secure software solutions for hybrid cloud journeys. Bachelor's degree required, with hands-on AWS experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud computing concepts, especially AWS services.
• Experience with AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Step Functions.
• Experience with Java, Python, or Golang development for EKS and Lambda.
• Experience with Terraform and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Foundational knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and messaging queues like Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Develop Rich UI Applications: Design and develop SPA or microfrontends using ReactJS or Angular.
• Develop Scalable Backend Microservices: Build backend services with 12-factor principles and API/event interfaces (Java, Python, or Node.js).
• Implement Cloud-Native CI/CD: Create CI/CD pipelines for rapid, secure releases on AWS.
• Manage AWS Services: Operate AWS services including PaaS, databases, observability, and routing.
• Ensure DevSecOps Practices: Apply DevSecOps using CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CodeCommit.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As an Application Developer: AWS Cloud FullStack, you will design and develop scalable, resilient, and cloud-native applications using modern technologies and methodologies. You will work in an Agile environment, delivering high-quality solutions through continuous release and improvement cycles.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop Rich UI Applications: Design and develop rich user interface applications using Single Page Applications (SPA) or microfrontends, utilizing frameworks such as ReactJS or Angular.
• Develop Scalable Backend Microservices: Develop scalable and resilient backend microservices based on 12-factor principles, exposing functionality via API and event interfaces, using programming languages such as Java, NodeJS, or Python.
• Implement Cloud-Native CI/CD: Implement cloud-native Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for change release, ensuring seamless delivery of applications and services.
• Manage AWS Services: Run and manage services on AWS, including PaaS, content delivery, routing services, databases, event-driven applications, and observability tools.
• Ensure DevSecOps Practices: Implement DevSecOps practices using AWS services such as CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, and CodeCommit, ensuring secure and efficient application delivery.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Development Experience in cloud computing concepts, particularly AWS services.
• Development Experience in Apache Flink Pipeline Jobs.
• Experience with AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Step Functions.
• Experience in Java, Python, or Golang development for EKS and Lambda.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Foundational knowledge of Java programming.
• Understanding of core Spring Boot concepts.
• Familiarity with RESTful API principles.
• Basic understanding of messaging queues or streaming platforms like Kafka.
