Job summary

V2X is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee field level overhaul work on vehicles powered by internal combustion engines in the Philippines for the LOGCAP program. You will supervise automotive mechanics, enforce safety rules, and coordinate repairs to meet program deadlines and performance standards.

The role requires hands-on diagnostics, testing with specialized equipment, routine maintenance, and leadership in a shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• US Citizenship required.
• Experience in leadership within automotive maintenance.
• Apprenticeship or formal training in light/heavy auto repair preferred.
• Ability to obtain Philippines Driver's License.
• CAC access or the ability to obtain CAC.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of repair and modification work on vehicles.
• Troubleshoot faults and identify causes in systems and subsystems.
• Test drive vehicles and use diagnostic devices.
• Oversee automotive mechanics and establish work priorities.

• This position will be physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP**

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs the full range of field-level overhaul work on one or more types of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines, gasoline, or multi-fuel. Implements regulatory safety requirements and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Performs the full range of repair and modification work on heavy/light equipment and vehicles powered by internal combustion engines


• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.


• Accurately troubleshoots, isolates, and identify faults of equipment systems and subsystems


• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices


• Repairs, relines, replaces, and adjusts


• Follows checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas


• Follows repair procedures, using charts, and technical manuals


• Tests and adjusts repaired systems to meet military performance specifications


• Performs routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups


• Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges


• Provides oversight and supervision of automotive mechanics.


• Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and guidelines set by the supervisor.


• Implements regulatory safety requirements and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.


• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  
  
  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  
  
  • Must be a US Citizen
  
  
  • Apprenticeship in Light/Heavy Automobile Repair, Automotive Mechanic or similar preferred.
  
  
  • Ability to obtain Philippines Driver's License is required
  
  
  • Must be able to obtain Common Access Card (CAC)
  
  
  • GCSS-A knowledge is highly desired; must be able to complete G-Trak training within 30 days of CAC being issued.
  
  
  
  


• Experience:
  
  
  
  • Three (3) years of experience in a leadership position.
  
  
  • At minimum Five (5) years experience as an automotive maintenance mechanic.

  • Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  
  
  • Familiar with the usage of computer based technical manuals preferred.
  
  
  • The ability to troubleshoot, determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

  • Must exercise discretion and good sound judgment.
  
  
  • Capable of performing work while wearing personnel protective equipment.

• Working Environment:
  
  
  
  • Work is generally conducted in a shop environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
  
  
  • Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, and Fire Regulations and published company work rules
