Job summary

Capgemini Philippines is seeking an experienced test automation engineer to design, develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and Katalon Studio. You will automate web, API, and integration test scenarios across Cards Management Software and related banking platforms, aligning with QA teams to maximize regression coverage.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of test automation engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Playwright and/or Katalon Studio or Selenium.
• Experience building automation frameworks and regression suites.
• Strong UI, API automation and integration testing knowledge.
• Experience validating REST APIs and payloads.
• SQL experience for backend data validation.
• Involvement in SIT and large-scale integration testing programs.
• Exposure to Git, CI/CD, and automation lifecycles.
• Familiarity with JIRA/Azure DevOps/ALM tools.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Playwright and/or Katalon Studio (or Selenium).
• Automate web, API, integration and regression test scenarios across CMS and bank apps.
• Collaborate with functional testers to identify automation candidates and maximize regression coverage.
• Support automation of certification-related test scenarios where feasible.
• Validate API integrations and file exchanges using automated components.
• Analyze failures, debug issues and coordinate defect resolution with dev teams.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
• Prepare execution reports, coverage metrics and dashboards.
• Contribute to framework enhancements, standards and reusable libraries.
• Support SIT, UAT and release validation with automated regression tests.
