Job summary

Shell Finance Operations is seeking a hands-on DTA Software Engineer to develop and support automation solutions that improve efficiency and user experience across Finance Operations.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to turn requirements into practical solutions using approved DTA technologies and agile ways of working. The role offers exposure to diverse automation opportunities and opportunities to grow technical expertise across Shell.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in software engineering, automation, or digital solution development.
• Experience with automation or digital solutions in finance/operations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, PADA, SQL, SharePoint Online, or reporting solutions.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle (requirements, development, testing, deployment, support).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy automation solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
• Translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Follow agile delivery practices with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues and support stable performance of automations.
• Collaborate with senior developers and stakeholders to apply good design.
• Communicate progress and support timely delivery of work.
