The AutoCAD Operator is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers and architects. The role supports design, construction, and documentation processes by ensuring all drawings meet project requirements, standards, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and/or 3D drawings using AutoCAD based on engineering and architectural designs.
- Interpret sketches, design concepts, and specifications from Civil Engineers or Architects.
- Revise drawings based on feedback, site changes, and design updates.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and project requirements.
- Produce layout plans, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings for construction.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project files.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams for accuracy and clarity.
- Perform site visits when necessary to gather measurements and verify details.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings according to project schedules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an AutoCAD Operator, Draftsman, or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of other design software (e.g., SketchUp, Revit) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of engineering and architectural drawing standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
