Job summary

VAP is seeking an implementation-focused Paraplanner to back Australian financial planning with advice preparation, research, modelling, and implementation tasks. You’ll help with SOAs and ROAs, conduct insurance and investment research, and coordinate forms to put recommended strategies into action.

Ideal candidates have paraplanning experience, familiarity with retirement planning and tools like Plutosoft or Xplan, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach capable of working independently for

Qualifications

Experience in Australian financial planning or paraplanning.
Hands-on with SOAs and ROAs preparation.
Knowledge of insurance analysis, investments, superannuation and retirement planning.
Experience with implementation forms and process requirements.
Familiarity with retirement projections and financial modelling.
Plutosoft CRM experience preferred; Xplan acceptable.
Knowledge of Risk Researcher and WealthSolver is a plus.
Strong detail orientation, organization and independent work.
Energetic, proactive and willing to own tasks.
Able to follow up on outstanding requirements and drive tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assist with SOAs and ROAs based on adviser recommendations.
Conduct insurance analysis and research to support advice.
Complete implementation forms and coordinate steps to execute strategies.
Support retirement planning and superannuation strategies.
Assist with investment research and implementation, including investment bonds.
Prepare retirement projections and financial modelling.
Use Risk Researcher and WealthSolver to support research and prep.
Maintain client records via Plutosoft CRM and SharePoint.
Monitor outstanding requirements and ensure timely completion.
Take ownership of assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

About the Role

We’re looking for an implementation-focused Paraplanner to support an Australian financial planning business with advice preparation, research, financial modelling, and implementation activities. You’ll assist with SOAs and ROAs, conduct insurance and investment research, prepare retirement projections, and coordinate the forms and processes needed to put recommended financial strategies into action.

Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)

Experience in Australian financial planning or paraplanning.
Hands-on experience preparing or assisting with Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs).
Knowledge of insurance analysis, investment strategies, superannuation, and retirement planning.
Experience with advice implementation, including application forms and understanding implementation requirements.
Familiarity with retirement projections and financial modelling.
Experience using Plutosoft CRM is highly regarded but also open to Xplan users.
Knowledge of Risk Researcher and WealthSolver is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage tasks independently.
Energetic, positive, and proactive, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of responsibilities.
Confident following up on outstanding requirements and driving tasks through to completion.

Take ownership of assigned tasks and provide reliable support with minimal supervision.
