Job summary

Energy Development Corporation (EDC) invites you to join our audit team. You will execute the section’s audit plan, perform assigned audit works, and ensure governance, control and risk management systems operate effectively to meet company objectives.

Under supervision, you will conduct audits from planning through fieldwork to reporting, evaluate controls, discuss findings with auditees, and monitor the status of outstanding issues with management.

Job description

Executes the section’s audit plan by performing assigned audit works which are geared towards ensuring that governance, control and risk management systems over critical areas of Company’s operations are working effectively and efficiently as designed to meet Company objectives. Under direct supervision of superiors, conduct audit engagement, from planning, audit fieldwork up to reporting and communication of audit results to auditees. Evaluate the adequacy of controls over the assigned areas subject of the audit while applying various audit tools and techniques i.e. analytical review, computer aided audit techniques or data analytics, flowchart, root cause analysis, risk assessment, quantitative techniques, etc. Evaluate the significance of the audit findings noted and formulate conclusion on the overall adequacy of controls over the business areas being audited. Discuss the results of the audit including audit issues and recommendations and monitor, follow up and document the status of outstanding audit issues, recommendations and agreed actions with management.

Since 1983, the Company has successfully developed, financed, built, and operated seven geothermal steamfields in five geothermal contract areas, containing both wet and dry steam. These steamfields currently supply geothermal steam to geothermal power plants with an aggregate installed capacity of 1,130 MW. In addition, the Company currently, directly and indirectly, owns and operates eleven geothermal power plants with a total installed capacity of 1,181 MW. EDC, through its indirect wholly owned subsidiary Green Core Geothermal, Inc., operates the 192.5MW Palinpinon and 112.5MW Tongonan geothermal power plants. Bacman Geothermal, Inc., another indirect wholly owned subsidiary of EDC, operates the 130MW Bacman geothermal power plant.
