Job summary

GR8 Global Philippines is seeking an Audit Senior with a focus on nonprofit and higher education clients to lead audits and related activities from Makati. You will review financial statements, assess internal controls, and support grant and donor reporting requirements, while coordinating with client teams.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in audit, CPA is preferred, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
• 4+ years of Audit background; US auditing/US accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading audits of nonprofit and higher education clients under senior supervision.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As an Audit Senior specializing in NPO and Higher Education clients, you will help lead audits for nonprofit organizations, colleges, universities, foundations, and similar mission-driven entities. You will review financial statements, assess internal controls, identify audit risks, and support compliance with applicable accounting, grant, donor, and reporting requirements. You will work closely with engagement teams and client contacts to complete audit procedures, document findings, and recommend practical process improvements.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Assist in performing audits of nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, foundations, and other mission-driven clients under supervision of senior personnel on the team
• Assist in completing audit workpapers by documenting audit procedures, tests, findings, and conclusions
• Develop knowledge of audit standards, nonprofit accounting, higher education reporting, grant compliance, and donor-restricted fund requirements
• Collect, assimilate, and analyze client data, including contributions, grants, functional expenses, net assets, program revenue, and other NPO or higher education audit areas
• Assist in identifying technical accounting, internal control, compliance, and reporting issues and share recommendations with senior personnel
• Recommend ways to streamline audit processes, strengthen controls, and increase client satisfaction
• Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to nonprofit and higher education auditing and financial reporting
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management

Qualifications

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred
• 4+ years of Audit background; 1-3 years of experience in US auditing or US accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm serving nonprofit or higher education clients
• Experience with nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, foundations, grants, or donor-restricted funding preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially when reviewing financial statements, supporting schedules, and compliance-related documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
• Experience with audit software and ERP systems is a plus
• Onsite work in Makati required for the 1 st year; Flexibility may be provided during typhoons, severe weather advisories, natural disasters, or similar emergency situations.
• Night shift required
