Co-academic Personnel (CAP) Reference Number 2526B-47

The Audio Visual Technician is assigned to a combination of phases or activities relative to the operation, orientation, safe keeping, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment and materials, operation and set-up of multimedia projector, and computers for CD-ROM; provides assistance in the production of AV materials.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field; preferably a licensed Electronics Technician (ECT) or Certified Audio and Video Technician.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as an Audio and Video Technician, with hands‑on expertise in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and circuitry.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and drafting technical plans and diagrams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members.
  • Physically fit, with excellent hand‑eye coordination and willingness to perform fieldwork and on‑site assignments.
  • Familiar with various technical tools and equipment; knowledge of audio and video editing software is an advantage.
