University of the Philippines-Diliman - Government is seeking an Audio-Visual Operator to install and arrange lighting, projectors, screens, sound systems, microphones, speakers, and cameras for events in department venues.
The role requires ensuring all equipment is connected and functioning, while following safety procedures to prevent hazards. You will assist presenters and staff during events and help with maintenance and inventory processes.
Perform Audio-Visual Operator duties such as installing and arranging lighting equipment, projectors, screens, sound systems, microphones, speakers, cameras, and other AV devices before events and ensuring all equipment is safely connected and functioning in the department’s performance venues.
Assist the Infrastructure Management Section Head in the management of venues and equipment through ensuring proper safety procedures are followed and audio-visual systems, cables, equipment placement, and installations do not pose hazards to users of department performance venues.
Assist in the maintenance of the department’s equipment and utilities by ensuring their proper use, carrying out repairs or replacements of audio-visual systems, and proper handling of set, lighting and other production elements.
Provide reports on technical elements including equipment usage, condition, repairs, and inventory.
Report damaged, missing, or obsolete equipment and recommend replacements when necessary.
Assist presenters, speakers, faculty members, staff and students during DSCTA events and class productions in using AV equipment and respond promptly to technical issues during events.
Perform other preventive maintenance tasks for equipment including routine cleaning, inspection, and overseeing the proper storage and handling of equipment to prevent damage or loss.
Perform other tasks for the Department as needed.
