Job summary

Emapta Philippines is seeking an AU External Audit Lead to steer multiple engagements, review complex audit areas, and coach auditors in a high-caliber, internationally oriented advisory environment. The role sits in the Philippines with hybrid flexibility, offering leadership responsibility and global exposure.

The ideal candidate holds a Business/Commerce degree with Accounting major, CPA, and at least 4 years of external audit experience, including team management and end-to-end engagement

Qualifications

• Business or Commerce degree with a major in Accounting.
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• At least 4 years of external audit experience, ideally Senior Auditor/Assistant Audit Manager in a Big Four or comparable firm in the Philippines.
• Proven end-to-end external audit experience: planning, fieldwork, review, reporting.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues.
• Review financial statements for compliance with Accounting Standards and prepare reports.
• Summarize key engagement areas for the partner.
• Conduct concurrent audit engagements with multiple team members.
• Manage and coordinate audit teams, including training and coaching.

Qualifications

• Business or Commerce degree with a major in Accounting
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• At least 4 years of external audit experience, ideally at the Senior Auditor, Assistant Audit Manager, or similar level within a Big Four or comparable audit firm in the Philippines
• Proven end-to-end external audit experience, including planning, fieldwork, review, completion, and reporting
• Strong experience managing and supervising audit team members, including work allocation, review, coaching, and performance support
• Working knowledge of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting Standards, Australian Auditing Standards, and other applicable legislation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and sound judgment
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
