Job summary

ConnectOS is seeking a Solar Engineer in Metro Manila to design, develop, and implement PV energy systems. You will utilise PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD to model layouts, sizes, and configurations for efficient solar projects.

You will conduct feasibility studies, prepare technical drawings, and support project bidding, permitting, and commissioning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in solar energy system design and engineering.
• Strong PV technology and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Proficiency with PV design software and CAD tools.
• Knowledge of local building codes and permitting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for solar projects.
• Design PV systems including layout, sizing, shading, and electrical configuration.
• Perform energy modelling and financial analysis for viability.

Job Summary

As a Solar Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing solar energy systems. Leveraging your expertise in photovoltaic (PV) technology, electrical engineering, and renewable energy, you will contribute to the design, installation, and optimisation of solar power projects. Your innovative solutions and technical proficiency will be instrumental in advancing our organisation's goals and contributing to the transition to clean, sustainable energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate the suitability of locations for solar energy projects.
• Design solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including layout, sizing, shading analysis, and electrical configuration, using industry-standard software and tools (e.g. Helioscope, Pylon and AutoCAD).
• Perform energy production modelling and financial analysis to assess the economic viability and performance of solar energy projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for permitting, procurement, and construction.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance during project development, construction, and commissioning phases, including field inspections and quality assurance.
• Conduct research and stay abreast of emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends in solar energy and renewable energy systems.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and business development teams to support client engagement, proposal development, and project bidding processes.
