Job summary

Emapta Philippines is seeking an AU Accountant to lead core financial operations with Australian accounting exposure and Xero proficiency. This role is based onsite in Quezon City and offers growth through global collaboration and continuous development.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Australian accounting experience
• Proven hands-on experience using Xero accounting software is required
• Must be amenable to working full-time onsite at Emapta SM North Towers, Quezon City
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with subscription-based financial reporting or recurring revenue models is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail with an accurate, structured, and organized approach to financial work
• Ability to collaborate effectively with finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and evolving business requirements

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance transactions, including supplier payments, customer billing, and receivables processing
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet items to maintain accurate financial records
• Post journals and ensure general ledger entries remain complete, timely, and properly supported
• Contribute to monthly and annual close cycles by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Support the Finance Manager with management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Track and consolidate key recurring revenue and customer performance metrics for internal reporting
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and provide timely visibility into financial movements
• Prepare Australian compliance-related calculations and submissions for review
• Coordinate audit requirements and compile schedules for external auditors and tax advisers
• Maintain accurate finance records in line with internal controls and reporting standards
• Provide responsive financial and operational support to the Finance Manager across ad hoc priorities

• Assist with cash flow monitoring and provide timely visibility into financial movements and funding requirements
• Prepare Australian compliance-related calculations and submissions, including BAS, GST, payroll tax, and superannuation, for review
• Coordinate audit requirements and compile supporting schedules for external auditors and tax advisers
• Maintain accurate finance records in line with internal controls, statutory obligations, and reporting standards
• Provide responsive financial and operational support to the Finance Manager across ad hoc priorities and business needs
