Job summary

Air Liquide Philippines is seeking an ASU Operator to ensure safe, reliable operation of its Air Separation Unit producing oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. The role involves monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting, and executing procedures to sustain optimal production.

You will work with the process engineering and maintenance teams, perform routine inspections, start-up/shutdown activities, and uphold safety standards including LOTO and confined space entry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience operating manufacturing plants, preferably in industrial gas production.
• Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs, control and single-line diagrams, and manuals.
• Strong knowledge of process safety management.
• Experience with DCS and process control software.
• Basic knowledge in IBM MAXIMO CMMS.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving; keen attention to detail.
• Teamwork and clear communication; willing to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process and auxiliary equipment via DCS and field instruments.
• Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on rotating and static machines.
• Respond to alarms, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct quality control checks on ASU outputs for purity and quality.
• Document daily operational data and production reports.
• Initiate plant start-up and shutdown activities and pre/post-checks.
• Adhere to safety protocols including LOTO, confined space entry, and hot work permits.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance teams, process engineer, and facility manager to optimize plant performance.
• Identify and report safety hazards, environmental concerns, or equipment malfunctions.
• Issue and approve safe work permits for maintenance staff and contractors.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
