Job summary

Air Liquide Philippines seeks an ASU Operator to safely and efficiently run the Air Separation Unit, ensuring continuous production of oxygen, nitrogen, and argon while adhering to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

The role involves monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting issues, and executing operational procedures to maintain optimal operability. Rotating shifts, including nights and holidays, are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience operating manufacturing plants, preferably industrial gas or continuous manufacturing.
• Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs, control diagrams, and operating manuals.
• Strong understanding of process safety management principles.
• Experience with DCS and other process control software.
• Basic knowledge of IBM MAXIMO CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process and auxiliary equipment via DCS and field instruments.
• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and minor maintenance on rotating and static machines.
• Respond to alarms and deviations, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct quality control checks on ASU process and outputs to ensure purity and quality.
• Document daily operational data, production reports, and maintenance activities.
• Initiate start-up and shutdown activities based on demand and pre/post checks.
• Adhere to safety protocols including LOTO, confined space entry, and hot work permits.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance, process engineer, and facility manager to optimize performance.
• Identify and report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the facility manager.
• Issue and approve safe work permits to maintenance personnel and contractors.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
