Job summary

HSBC is seeking an Assistant Manager Trade Conduct and Finance Control in Quezon City, Philippines to strengthen risk and data integrity across Trade and Finance functions. You will implement controls, support BCBS 239 aligned architecture, and publish daily risk/detail reports for asset classes including Equity, FX and Fixed Income.

The role requires understanding of risk metrics (PVBP, VaR, MTM) and proficiency in Excel (VBA), MS Word and PowerPoint, with a focus on data quality and regulatory

Qualifications

• Finance, accounting, business management or quantitative degree, or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding of financial products and market risk measures (PVBP, VaR).
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills; proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. VBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the end-to-end integrity of Risk and Valuation Data by executing enhanced controls for data consumption by Traded risk, Finance and Collateral.
• Implement Future state architectural system (VAULT) for centralized control in the bank in accordance with BCBS 239 principles.
• Publish and analyze daily control reports for each asset class (Equity, FX & Fixed Income) for materiality of risk impact.
• Using Agile methodology, raise Jiras to IT and perform UATs for all controls implemented.
• Understand financial instruments and key risk/valuation measures (PVBP, VaR, MTM, PV).
• Perform risk data quality checks and controls on sources/ inputs – PTS, Pricing engine, Vault Data and Reference Data Quality Controls on static data (GRDS, HMS, XBH, XDS, BBG, Reuters).
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards and address audit points and regulator-facing issues promptly; foster a compliance culture and ensure training.
