Job summary

OCBC Singapore seeks an experienced Corporate Actions Officer to ensure timely processing of events across Singapore and global markets. The role emphasizes risk management, accuracy, and adherence to established controls and service standards.

You will support process improvements, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to projects and system enhancements. This is a 100% on-site position located at Raffles Place with relocation planned in Jan 2027 to Tampines.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Business or related discipline.
  • Experience in Corporate Actions, Equities Operations, Custody, or Capital Markets Operations.
  • Knowledge of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Process mandatory and voluntary corporate action events for Singapore and foreign markets within prescribed timelines.
  • Investigate and resolve corporate action cash breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions promptly.
  • Ensure daily BAU activities are completed accurately within SLIs.
  • Respond to queries from internal stakeholders, custodians, agents, and external counterparties.
  • Adhere to SOPs, controls, compliance requirements, and risk management standards.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of corporate action events across Singapore and global markets, ensuring effective risk management, operational excellence, and adherence to established controls and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process mandatory and voluntary corporate action events for Singapore and foreign markets within prescribed timelines.
  • Investigate and resolve corporate action cash breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions promptly.
  • Ensure daily BAU activities are completed accurately and within agreed Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
  • Respond to queries from internal stakeholders, custodians, agents, and external counterparties.
  • Adhere to documented SOPs, operational controls, compliance requirements, and risk management standards.
  • Escalate discrepancies, operational issues, and control breaches promptly to supervisors and drive timely resolution.
  • Support the Section Head and Team Lead in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, requirements gathering, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in projects, change initiatives, and ad-hoc assignments as required.
Requirements
  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in Corporate Actions, Equities Operations, Custody, or Capital Markets Operations.
  • Sound knowledge of mandatory and voluntary corporate action events and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of operational risk, controls, and regulatory requirements.

  • This is a 100% Work -in- Office role, currently located at Raffles place and will relocate to Tampines wef Jan 2027
