Finastra is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Manila to design, develop, test, and maintain software product applications. Fresh graduates are welcome; Bachelor in CS or related field required, with Java/JavaScript and RESTful API familiarity.

The role emphasizes SDLC adherence, independent problem solving, and collaboration with stakeholders to support product releases. We embrace AI tools to boost productivity and deliver value across lending, payments, and banking domains.

Job Description

What will you contribute?

Reporting to the Team Lead, the Associate Software Engineer designs, develops, analyzes, and maintains high‑quality software product applications. This position is located in Manila.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Designs and develops high‑quality code.
• Tests, debugs, analyzes and fixes application problems/issues. Works closely with stakeholders to fix issues in a timely fashion.
• Follows the software development lifecycle process.
• Interacts with internal stakeholders to support product releases and/or resolve program problems.
• Leverage AI to enhance productivity, streamline routine tasks, validate outputs against trusted sources, and translate AI-generated insights into informed business decisions.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related courses
• Experience with Java, JavaScript preferred.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS, SQL preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity independently.
• Strong technical, analytical, and development skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of required programming languages.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; effective customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
