Job description

Join our Market Services Division as part of the global Screening and Payment Compliance Team, which is responsible for conducting client name and payment screening checks to support AML regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our office location.

You will review and investigate alerts generated from counterparty name and payment screenings against sanctions lists, watchlists and other regulatory databases, ensuring cases are assessed accurately and completed within agreed timelines. You will apply strong attention to detail and sound judgement in identifying potential risks and escalating concerns when necessary.

In addition, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying more efficient ways of working, reducing manual processes, and enhancing screening outcomes. Working closely with the Financial Crime Risk team and key stakeholders, you will help ensure escalations and compliance matters are managed promptly and effectively.

What You Offer
  • An interest in screening and AML regulations
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to summarise complex findings
  • Experience working within a financial institution performing critical control functions
  • Strong organisational, communication and prioritisation skills
  • Prior experience with screening systems and screening processes is an advantage.
