Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Bengaluru seeks an Associate Product Manager to guide products through their lifecycle, from research to launch, partnering with engineering and compliance teams.

3+ years in product management and a strong technical/analytical background are preferred; excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in Product Management, Operations, Change Management, or Project/Program Management roles, including experience driving the product vision, design, and launch strategy.
• Experience owning a backlog and knowledge of functional areas such as product management, engineering, user experience, user research; working knowledge of financial markets and products.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Must work well in a global team, multi-tasking environment and under pressure.
• Adaptability and being comfortable with uncertainty.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly express ideas and arguments in meetings and on paper.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Establish a clear product strategy and road map with defined scope, budget, timeline, deliverables and dependencies.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Compliance stakeholders to translate product strategy into technical execution.
• Conduct user research: current state assessments, job shadowing, requirements gathering.
• Rationalize user requirements across a broad cross section of Compliance and translate those requirements to “user stories” for delivery by the development teams.
• Develop and manage the product backlog along with sprint execution and product launches.
• Design, develop and maintain a project’s reporting framework, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Coordinate the flow and prioritization of requests from all stakeholders and the product backlog.
• Sign off on all functional delivery prior to production release.
• Understand and manage impact across integrated applications.
• Maintain connectivity with the user community: monitor usage and validate product performance.
