Job summary

LenderLink, headquartered in the Philippines, seeks an Associate Legal Counsel to build a compliant, scalable legal framework for a fintech data platform. You will draft and negotiate agreements with banks and partners while guiding data privacy and regulatory compliance.

You will work closely with leadership in a hybrid setup, engaging with product, technology, and commercial teams to align legal risk with business goals and ensure timely regulatory filings and licensing.

Qualifications

• Bar admission in good standing with the Philippine Bar.
• Min. 3+ years of legal experience in fintech/banking/tech finance.
• Hands-on experience with data privacy, financial regulation, or commercial contracting.
• Strong analytical and advisory skills; ability to present risks clearly.
• Initiative and adaptability; interest in contributing to a high-growth startup.
• Preferred: Data privacy compliance experience, including DPO support.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with banks, lenders, and partners.

• Track and interpret SEC, BSP, CIC, and NPC regulations affecting credit data and consumer protection.
• Support corporate housekeeping, regulatory filings, licensing, and policies.

LenderLink is the Philippines’ first credit data exchange. Lenders use our platform to access real-time, verified borrower records through a single API. We already work with many of the country’s leading financial institutions, are backed by the country’s top investors, and were founded by experienced fintech entrepreneurs.

We handle sensitive credit data at scale, so trust and compliance are core to our product. We are now looking for an Associate Legal Counsel to strengthen our legal and regulatory foundations as we grow. You’ll work closely with our leadership team and shape how a new piece of financial infrastructure operates in the Philippines.

What you’ll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with banks, lenders, and partners, including data-sharing agreements, MSAs, NDAs, and vendor contracts
• Advise on data privacy and consent under the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) and NPC issuances, and support our DPO on compliance
• Track and interpret regulations from the SEC, BSP, CIC, and NPC that affect credit data, lending, and consumer protection, and help the business stay ahead of them
• Support corporate housekeeping, regulatory filings, licensing, and policies
• Partner with the commercial, product, and technology teams to provide timely, practical legal guidance that supports business objectives

What you bring

• Member of the Philippine Bar, in good standing
• Min. 3+ years of legal experience, ideally in-house at a fintech, bank, lending company, or tech firm, or at a law firm with a strong financial services practice
• Hands-on experience with data privacy, financial regulation, or commercial contracting
• Strong analytical and advisory skills, with the ability to present legal risks clearly and propose practical, business-oriented solutions
• Initiative and adaptability, with a genuine interest in contributing to a high-growth company
• Preferred: Data privacy compliance experience, including serving as or supporting a Data Protection Officer (DPO)
