Job summary

FWD Life Philippines, part of the FWD Group, is seeking a Legal Counsel to draft, review, negotiate contracts and other legal documents, and to support litigation and regulatory matters across the business.

The role requires Philippine Bar admission, a bachelor’s degree, and 3–5 years’ experience in labor and litigation matters, with corporate secretarial exposure; you will prepare board notices, agendas, minutes, and regulatory reports.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the Philippine Bar.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3–5 years in a law firm handling labor and litigation matters, with experience in dispute resolution, contract review, and corporate secretarial work is a plus.
• Appearance before the National Labor Relations Commission (including SENA, and the LA), Data Privacy Commission, Insurance Commission, and the regular courts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft, review, negotiate, and finalize proposals, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Work on new or existing litigation, attend hearings as may be required, and updating tracking and monitoring tools as necessary.
• Conduct exhaustive research of laws, regulations, jurisprudence, as applicable to a particular concern and issue legal advice or opinion.
• Draft and prepare board & committee meeting notices, agenda, minutes, and materials, as well as corporate records, and regulatory reports.
