• Must be willing to work long hours in Makati and train as needed.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for natural and juridical persons;
• Remain updated on most current legal processes and jurisprudence;
• Explain the law and provide sound legal advice to clients;
• Conduct extensive legal research and gather evidence;
• Ensure appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed;
• Draft, review and manage various legal documents;
• Offer legal representation at arbitration or mediation hearings;
• Provide innovative solutions to client problems;
• Represent clients in court proceedings on civil or criminal matters in a professional manner;
• Monitor case progress and keep clients regularly updated on assigned cases;
• Prepare pleadings, notices and other documents;
• Oversee paralegals and assistants;
• Attend meetings, seminars and conferences;
• Keep cases organized;

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess at least a Post Graduate Law Degree
• Must have passed the Philippine Bar examinations
• Minimum 5 years experienced employee specializing in law/legal services or equivalent
• Must have at least 5 years’ extensive experience in litigation and commercial law practice
• Extensive knowledge in commercial law, taxation, intellectual property laws and other business areas
• Must have knowledge and experience in business set-up/closure, PEZA registration, BOC registration
• Must be willing to work in Makati City
• Must be willing to work long hours and undergo training
