Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related fields, preferably with advanced training.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in credit lending and equity investments in corporate finance, project finance, infrastructure finance, or financial institutions preferably with a leading international financial institution, investment bank, infrastructure fund or consultancy firm.
  • Excellent understanding of finance business principles and strong skills in client management.
  • Good negotiations skills.
  • Able to work in a multicultural setting and strong team player.
  • Excellent written including effective report writing and verbal communication skills in English.

Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Associate Investment Officer is assigned to the Private Sector Investment Funds and Special Initiatives Division (PSIS) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines

You will report to the designated International Staff and/or officer (senior/principal/lead, as applicable).

Your Role

As an Associate Investment Officer, you will be responsible for the credit administration process and for client relationship in terms of onboarding, disbursements, covenant monitoring and billing for private equity investments. You will work with borrowers, multiple PSOD staff and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related fields, preferably with advanced training.

Additional Information

This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff's particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff's performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
