Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in the Philippines (Bar qualification).
• 3+ years as a licensed legal professional, preferably energy-related.
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) required; MBA/LL.M is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to AVP Legal, VP Legal, and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.
• Oversee legal and regulatory compliance for AP Units, BUs, and CSUs.

As the Associate General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal support in all matters assigned by the AVP Legal, VP Legals, and/or Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, as the case may be, to meet the requirements of the various AP Units, and to ensure that the AP BUs and CSUs are properly advised and protected from significant legal exposure and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Legal and Compliance team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• In certain instances, the Associate General Counsel may be assigned on an exclusive or dedicated basis and for a predetermined period, to support the requirements of specific BU or CSU within AP, reporting directly to the BU or CSU head, under the general supervision of the AVP Legal or VP Legal
• Legal and regulatory compliance
• Legal Management

What You Will Need

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) Master of Laws (LL.M.) or Master in Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage
• Professional: At least three (3) years as a licensed legal professional (Bar qualification), preferably with working experience in a field or business that is energy-related or can complement the energy business
• License Required: Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar
