Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Assistant Talent Acquisition Manager to help lead our recruitment function into its next chapter. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to the business, managing daily operations and providing guidance to our Recruitment Lead and team of Specialists.

You are someone who looks beyond traditional CVs, challenges the status quo, and embraces cutting-edge tools—including AI-driven recruitment technologies— to find and attract top-tier talent. This role requires a shift schedule that includes a strategic overlap with US business hours to facilitate hiring calls, syncs, and interviews with North American stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor & Nurture: Lead, inspire, and develop a small team of Talent Acquisition Specialists. We believe in a non-punitive, growth-first culture where feedback is a tool for empowerment, not punishment.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily recruitment operations, ensuring efficient workflows, balanced workloads, and high-quality candidate pipelines. Work with the Recruitment Lead to maintain team performance.

2. Strategic Partnership & Advisory

• Be a True Partner: Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, not just an order-taker.
• Challenge with Confidence: Confidently and constructively challenge unreasonable hiring standards. You will be expected to guide hiring managers on what is realistic versus unrealistic in the current job market using data and insights.
• Modern Job Architecture: Review and rewrite traditional job descriptions. You will transform them from dry lists of requirements into compelling narratives that clearly identify critical soft skills and cultural alignment.

3. Advanced Sourcing & Evaluation

• Niche Sourcing: Deploy out-of-the-box sourcing techniques to uncover passive talent for highly specialized and niche positions, particularly within the Accounting and Technology sectors.
• Behavioral Assessment: Utilize and champion competency-based behavioral interviewing methodologies to ensure holistic and objective candidate evaluations.

4. Tech Adoption

• AI Integration: Actively adopt and integrate AI tools into the recruitment workflow (e.g., for sourcing automation, market analysis, or initial screening) to optimize team efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in full-cycle recruitment, with at least 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring a talent acquisition team.
• Industry Expertise: Proven track record of sourcing and hiring for niche roles within the Technology and/or Accounting/Finance industries.
• Interviewing Mastery: Deep expertise in designing and conducting competency-based behavioral interviews.
• Analytical Skillset: Strong capability in conducting market research, data analysis, and salary benchmarking.
• Tech-Savvy: Active experience using AI tools and advanced recruitment tech stacks to optimize the sourcing and hiring lifecycle.
• Communication Style: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You must be comfortable navigating difficult conversations with senior stakeholders while remaining collaborative and open to feedback.

NOTE: This is a hybrid role, with scheduled 2x a week on-site work (Baguio).
