Job summary

VAST LIGHTING CORP is seeking an eager Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing activities in our facility in Cavite. You will aid the Production Supervisor with monitoring manpower, schedules, and quality targets, while ensuring safety and adherence to procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a related degree, communicates well, and can learn quickly. A 15-day training period is provided to upskill in our processes and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• College graduate in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Management, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing is an advantage.
• Leadership and team coordination skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of basic production processes and workplace safety.
• Computer literate, particularly Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Supervisor in monitoring daily production activities.
• Assist in monitoring manpower, attendance, work assignments, and production schedules.
• Support the supervisor in ensuring that production targets and quality requirements are met.
• Monitor employees' compliance with company rules, work procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Assist in identifying production problems, delays, and operational concerns and report them to the Production Supervisor.
• Help ensure proper use of machines, tools, materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and 5S in the production area.
• Coordinate with production employees and other departments regarding work-related concerns.
• Prepare or assist with basic production reports and records.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the Production Supervisor or Management.
