Job summary

HireMe.ph in the Philippines seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to help supervise departmental personnel and optimize plant operations. You will conduct daily equipment inspections, supervise maintenance staff, and coordinate with the Plant Manager on outsourcing needs to keep production on track.

You will report on machine status, plan day-to-day activities to exceed customer expectations, and drive safety, quality, and productivity initiatives across the facility.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience as Assistant Plant Manager or Plant Supervisor in food manufacturing.
• Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity and inventory processes.
• Strong team building, decision making and people management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assists the Plant Manager with the over-all supervision of departmental personnel, general plant operation and maintenance to achieve the production objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts the daily inspection of all machinery and equipment, making sure that these are in good running condition.
• Assigns, supervises and evaluates the work of the maintenance personnel in coordination with the Plant manager.
• Requests and makes follow-up, if necessary, the outsourced technical services and additional tools needed by the maintenance section.
• Reports machines/equipment failure and status of the machine/equipment maintenance work to the Plant Manager.
• Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day to day operations to exceed our customers' expectations.
• Coordinate with the Plant Manager in resolving plant issues in a timely manner.
• Review all production orders and processing schedules and make critical decisions about workflow strategies to ensure customers receive goods on time.
• Develop, implement and track quality control systems, utilizing feedback to reduce scrap and waste through employee education and other efficiency improvement
• Set and monitor product standards by implementing testing procedures
• Perform all other duties that may be required from time to time.

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in working as Assistant Plant Manager or Plant Supervisor (at least 3 years) preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
• Strong aptitude on root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational problems
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Be knowledgeable on safety, quality, productivity and inventory processes.
