Help develop and monitor budgets, costs (logistics, storage, labor), expenses, and financial aspects of operations (e.g. cost control, profitability, expense tracking).
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (food safety / hygiene — if applicable; warehouse safety; proper handling/storage of goods), especially important for food & beverage distribution.
Monitor inventory accuracy, implement inventory control procedures (e.g. FIFO/FEFO for perishable food), quality control, and regular audits of warehouse and distribution processes.
Provide reports on operations — weekly/monthly: inventory status, cost control, sales/profitability support, and operational KPIs.
Support process improvement initiatives: identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, optimize logistics, warehousing, stock handling, staff utilization.
Support customer service or distribution fulfillment — ensure orders are dispatched timely, manage deliveries (or coordinate with logistics), and address issues or complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
