Purpose of the role:
The incumbent will be a key person responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and ensure suitable risk management policies and practices are in place. The role will also be a critical support activity for timely intimation/settlement of trades, fund utilization and managing collection, payments, and reconciliation.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role:
- Ensuring adherence to the regulatory and internal guidelines issued and amended from time to time through systemic controls
- Preparation of policy documents, regulatory filings as may be required from time to time including periodic review in line with regulatory/ internal changes.
- Coordinating with regulators, auditors and handling regulatory inspections, if any
- Good understanding of Market Risk concepts and metrics (VaR, Tracking Error, risk ratios like Sharpe ratio, Information ratio etc.)
- Performance attribution analysis of portfolio vis-a-vis benchmark & peers
- Ensuring adherence to investment limits like issuer limit, sector limit to address concentration risk and any other limits defined in scheme prospectus through systemic controls.
- Should be open to support Investment Operations team if required in:
- Handling Cash Flows, monitoring timely and error free cash flow movement in co-ordination with fund managers / dealers
- Daily Reconciliations of Operating Accounts and Fund movements
- Dividend Reconciliation, Brokerage Reconciliation, Switch Reconciliation.
- Settlement of trades
- Interaction with various banks & RTA for data / information
- Handling Statutory Returns (TDS, STT, GST & IT)
Educational Qualification:
Postgraduate in any discipline is must – Preferably /MBA/CA or equivalent
Technical & Professional Knowledge required:
- Understanding of Asset Management activities and risk management framework/ operations requirement in the domain.
- Ability to handle branch operations independently
- Understanding SEBI – Mutual Fund Operational Guidelines
Experience Required:
- Min 5 years of experience preferably in portfolio manager, broker dealer, investment advisor, wealth manager, research analyst or fund management
- Good knowledge of banking / investment operations in Mutual Fund or BFSI sector
