SourceU in the Philippines seeks an experienced Assistant Manager to lead a portfolio of Australian clients, mentor accountants, and work directly with Australian Managers and Directors.

This leadership role emphasizes technology, AI and modern ways of working to improve efficiency, AI and better client outcomes.

You will manage workflows, deadlines and team capacity while reviewing financial statements, tax returns, BAS and compliance work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Australian Public Practice experience.
• CPA qualified and willing to work towards CA.
• Strong Australian tax, accounting, GST and BAS knowledge.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
• Experience reviewing, supervising or mentoring accountants.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Australian business clients
• Become a key point of contact for clients
• Conduct client meetings by phone and video
• Review financial statements, tax returns, BAS and compliance work
• Lead, mentor and develop Philippines-based accountants
• Manage workflow, deadlines and team capacity
• Assist with tax planning and business advisory
• Solve client issues alongside Australian Managers and Directors
• Improve systems, processes and workflows
• Use AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality and client outcomes
