Job summary

Insular Oil Corporation in Davao del Norte seeks a licensed Chemist to lead our chemical laboratory. The role includes supervising analysts, certifying analyses, and ensuring product and material quality in receiving and shipping.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in a related lab, strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and willingness to on-call 24/7 with field work in Sasa, Davao.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Must have Chemical Laboratory experience.
• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Can work with less supervision.
• Willing to be on-call 24/7 and willing to do field work.
• Adept in chemical laboratory work (wet chemistry and instrumentation)
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Experience in a Quality Assurance Laboratory is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the chemical laboratory and direct head of laboratory analysts.
• Certifies a chemical analysis as performed by laboratory analysts and performs chemical analysis as required.
• Monitors and checks the quality of the product, raw materials, and by-products during receiving and outgoing.
• Plans, monitors and performs daily, weekly, monthly and annual activities in laboratory.
• Follows and performs duty assigned by immediate heads and performs other duties or task that may be assigned from time to time.
