Gicar Construction, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Batching Plant Operator to operate, monitor and maintain the plant for safe and efficient production.

The Asphalt Batching Plant Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the asphalt batching plant to ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent production of asphalt mixtures according to approved mix designs and project requirements.
Operate and control the asphalt batching plant and related equipment in accordance with operating procedures
Monitor the production process, including aggregate feeding, heating, mixing, bitumen/asphalt cement, and additive systems
Ensure asphalt mixtures are produced according to approved mix designs, specified temperatures, and quality requirements
Monitor plant control systems, gauges, meters, temperature readings, and material flow
Adjust plant settings and production parameters as necessary to maintain consistent output and product quality
Coordinate with the Quality Control/Laboratory team regarding mix designs, material specifications, and quality testing
Monitor inventory and consumption of aggregates, asphalt cement, fuel, and other materials
Conduct routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance of plant equipment
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, abnormal operating conditions, and safety hazards to the Plant Supervisor or Maintenance Team
Maintain accurate production records, including batch quantities, temperatures, material consumption, and operating hours
High school diploma, vocational/technical course, or equivalent
Previous experience operating an asphalt batching plant, concrete batching plant, or similar industrial processing equipment is preferred
Basic knowledge of asphalt production, aggregates, asphalt cement, and mix designs
Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read operating instructions, production reports, and equipment manuals
Computer literacy and familiarity with automated plant control systems is an advantage
Physically fit and able to work in a hot, dusty, and industrial environment
Willing to work shifting schedules, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required
