Manulife is seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to join the Asia Valuation Shared Services within the MBPS Actuarial Function. The role focuses on modeling, validation, and control activities, leading a team and delivering insights across valuation and pricing domains.

The position requires a strong actuarial background, global collaboration, and a hybrid work arrangement (3x onsite). You will contribute to diverse projects and help shape technical solutions in a multinational context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
• At least 10 years of actuarial work experience in Insurance or Financial Services.
• Associate designation in any recognized actuarial organization (SOA, ASP), with meaningful progress toward Fellowship.
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Excel, VBA, Access), GGY AXIS, SQL, Qlikview, Python or similar programs.
• Demonstrated experience in applying actuarial concepts to independently model and analyze actuarial financial metrics.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to report information, results, and recommendations to various levels across the organization.
• Amenable to work in UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City) and hybrid setup (3x onsite).

Responsabilités

• Develop, validate and implement model changes into production models following Model Change Management guidelines.
• Monitor and manage quarterly controls for reserve movement analysis, audit logs, inclusion controls and upstream report validation for S/E, NB EV and Canadian/Local capital.
• Lead and develop a team of actuarial staff, ensuring high-quality work.
• Provide documentation and training to other team members on the subject matters.
• Support country business units with annual and adhoc projects such as Economic Capital, Inforce Embedded Value and Basis Changes.
• Identify and implement solutions to improve VSSC tools, processes and framework.
