Job summary

Aguila Glass is seeking an Area Sales Manager to plan and execute sales strategies across the designated area in Metro Manila, Pasig. You will lead growth initiatives, guide marketing programs, and act as the thought leader on product trends and customer needs.

The role requires at least 5 years in field sales and marketing, with strong communication and project management skills, and the ability to train subordinates and develop a strategic sales plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or any business related courses.
  • With at least 5 years of actual field sales & marketing experience.
  • Must have the ability to manage sales area and formulate strategic sales plan and to train subordinates effectively.
  • Must have knowledge in doing a marketing plan.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and exceptional project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute sales strategies to reach projected sales for the Area.
  • Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes for the Area.
  • Serve as the thought leader regarding product requirements, trends, competitive landscape, marketing programs and communications.
  • Facilitate feedback to different areas of the company business regarding client needs, operational needs, business opportunities, and marketing/sales programs.
  • Drive the business to achieve and surpass sales and business goals and objectives including sales quota.
  • Work closely with the Store Managers/Supervisors of the Area and channel feedback on product features and functions, trends, program needs, customer outreach programs and events.
  • Solicit and develop new accounts for sales, and device strategies for customer retention.
  • Meet with Store Managers/Supervisors about sales and Credit & Collection performance and targets.
  • Coordinate an area-wide meeting with the Store Managers/Supervisors as well as the Mid-Year and End-Year Symposiums initiated by the SOM and the Marketing Department, and be able to accomplish reports on said activities.
  • Provide executive level representation at high-stakes meetings with prospects, clients, and technology/channel partners, and possible new areas to open for expansion purposes.
  • Recommend creative selling techniques based on market and product knowledge. Read and analyze the Account Executive/Sales Agents' reports, and recommend actions to be taken.
  • Coordinate with the Account Executives and Sales Agents under the Automotive, Bus and Architectural Divisions to meet the needs and demands of customers, and device strategies to reach potential clients.
  • Schedule regular visits to the Branches to meet and observe the Branch personnel at work and perform overall management and overseeing functions. Do cash count at the Branches.
  • Review and analyze the Maintaining Balance Stock Inventory Requirement (MBSIR) of Branches and come up with recommendations based on the Stock Cards, Sales Breakdown Report (SBR), Retail-Wholesale Ratio and other pertinent data.
  • Evaluate and present to executives results within business areas around general glazing and automotive glass to determine if organizational objectives are being met.
  • Monitor competitive price movements for all products and make the necessary recommendations for any upward or downward price adjustments in order to remain competitive.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/yearly Sales Report for area of responsibility (must review and analyze sales reports from Branches).
  • Coordinate delivery schedule in order to meet the critical demands of customers and assure customer satisfaction. Coach, motivate, guide and monitor the performance of the Branch personnel by reviewing and analyzing their Comprehensive Sales Report (CSR) that includes their Lost Sales Report, Collection Report, Retail-Wholesale Ratio and Sales Breakdown Report (SBR) in order to maintain good customer rapport and higher productivity levels.
  • Handle complaints, infractions, etc. which are referred to him/her and take the necessary action to resolve the situations. Recommend approval of Requests to Purchase (RTP), petty cash requests, Release Order Slip (ROS), Special Price Adjustments (SPA), and other administrative requests of the Branches in the Area.
  • From time to time represent the Company in PR events as requested by the Marketing management. Perform other task from time to time.
