Job summary

Nestlé Philippines is seeking an Area Engineer for the Cabuyao Factory in Laguna. You will support plant maintenance, reliability, and improvement initiatives to ensure reliable operations and optimized maintenance costs.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance activities, driving RCA and breakdown analysis, diagnosing equipment problems, and working across mechanical, automation, and manufacturing engineering areas to improve asset performance and safety. 6-day week interim shift is noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work closely with technical and maintenance teams within the assigned production area.
• Support the execution of planned maintenance activities and maintenance routines.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and breakdown analysis for recurring equipment and process issues.
• Diagnose equipment and process problems and recommend sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Support asset reliability and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment breakdowns and improve operational efficiency.
• Work across mechanical, automation, and other manufacturing engineering areas to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Support maintenance budget planning, tracking, and cost-control activities.
• Ensure effective use of maintenance management systems, engineering standards, and SAP, where applicable.
• Build technical capability and maintenance competencies within the maintenance team.
• Partner with Production and Engineering teams to improve safety, quality, equipment performance, and asset utilization.
• Support the implementation of maintenance, engineering, safety, and quality standards across the factory.
• Balance immediate technical and operational requirements with long-term equipment reliability and continuous improvement priorities.

Nestlé Philippines is looking for an Area Engineer to join our Engineering Services team at our Cabuyao Factory. In this role, you will support plant maintenance, reliability, and improvement initiatives to ensure reliable operations, reduce unplanned downtime, optimize maintenance costs, and improve asset performance.

We are looking for an engineer with strong, hands-on manufacturing and engineering experience who can combine practical problem-solving with strategic thinking. You will work closely with technical and maintenance teams, Production, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and other cross-functional partners to improve equipment reliability and overall factory performance.

What You'll Do

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field

At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG

Strong experience working with and/or leading technical or maintenance teams

Hands-on experience in Root Cause Analysis , breakdown analysis, and equipment troubleshooting

Ability to diagnose equipment or process issues and recommend sustainable engineering solutions

Manufacturing operations experience with exposure to Automation and Mechanical systems

Experience in Area Engineering, Plant Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or similar manufacturing engineering responsibilities

Experience in preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement

Knowledge of maintenance management systems and maintenance cost control

Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and other factory teams

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Willing to be assigned at Nestlé Cabuyao Factory, Laguna

Willing to work on a 6-day work week (interim) and shifting schedule
