Job summary

Aprio, a nationally ranked CPA and advisory firm, is hiring in the Philippines to join a hybrid accounting team in Makati. You will review and finalize accounting work, assist with monthly reports, and train junior members while supporting onboarding and process improvements.

You will work with Xero, QBO, and NetSuite, delivering high-quality services to multiple clients in a fast-paced environment. CPA preferred and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• CPA license is an advantage.
• 3+ years experience in accounting or outsourced services.
• Solid experience with Xero and QuickBooks Online (QBO); NetSuite is a plus.
• Experience with BILL or other AP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Reviews weekly and monthly work prepared by the Associate Accountant.
• Ensures timely completion of tasks and accuracy of postings.
• Performs initial/final review of monthly/quarterly management reports.
• Provides accounting support and guides Associates.
• Handles client onboarding, catch-up tasks, and seasonal work.
• Prepares process documents and supports improvements.
• Assists with inquiries from managers/clients and addresses concerns.
• Supports people management and onboarding at team level.

Position Responsibilities

• Reviews the correctness and completeness of the weekly work, which includesbillsprocessing and bank transaction coding, and monthly work prepared by the Associate Accountant.
• Ensuresall weekly and monthly responsibilities of the Associate accountant are being done diligent.
• Performs initial and/or final review of monthly and/or quarterly management reports.
• Provide Accounting and Technical support to Accounting Associate(s); train or guide the Accounting Associate(s) where needed.
• Handles new and complicated tasks, client onboarding, clean up and catch-up work, seasonal tasks (such as 1099), and creation or maintenance of accounting work papers.
• Preparation of process documents and works together with the Manager on process improvements.
• Attend to Manager/PM/client's questions, concerns, or issues.
• Work with the manager on people management – team's capacity, performance evaluation, staff concerns, interviews for new hire, employee onboarding, etc.
• In the absence of the Associate accountant,Senioraccountant assumes the responsibility of the Associate.
• In the absence of the Manager, can perform as the leader of the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• A licensed CPA is an advantage
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or outsourced accounting services
• Solidexperience withXero andQBO is required. Experience inNetSuite is an advantage
• Experience with BILL or other accounts payable platformsrequired
• Experience handlinga variety of industries, includingSaaS & Technology,preferred
• Experience supporting multiple clients or working in an outsourced/accounting services environment preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a hybrid team organization by comfortably using communication tools such as Teams and emails to connect with co-workers.
• Demonstrated experience of managing multiple clients
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
