Job summary

Aprio's Business Operations - Finance Team in Makati is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the GL, close processes, and ensure accurate monthly reporting in a fast-growing CPA environment. This role combines financial oversight with team leadership in a hybrid setup.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA, has at least 5 years of leadership in full-cycle accounting, and is comfortable with a night shift (8pm–5am).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• At least 5 years of leadership in full-cycle accounting and compliance.
• Experience with Workday, Oracle, and SAP is preferred.
• Hybrid work arrangement is acceptable.
• Night shift schedule (8pm–5am) is required.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain high level of accuracy in preparing financial reports
• Ensure timely month-end closing and reports submission
• Performs variance analysis and financial review
• Ensure correct GL and cost center coding.
• Performs Balance Sheet reconciliation and ensure completeness of schedules and supporting documents.
• Plan an efficient month-end closing and initiates process improvements
• Assist in providing accounting details and supporting documents for external audits
• Collaboration with Senior Manager, Financial Reporting during financial review and external audit requests
• Provide guidance to the GL team and support senior leaders.
• Support the growth of Aprio by achieving the OneAprio Finance goal.
• Manage team workload and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines and achieve departmental objectives.
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and share important updates.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and implement process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA is required
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in full-cycle accounting and compliance
• Strong analytical abilities and understanding of accounting standard
• Experience with accounting systems (such as Workday, Oracle, SAP) is required
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skill
• Proven process improvement mindset required
• Must have prior experience working in the Shared Services/BPO Industry or an accounting firm
• Amenable to work on a hybrid work arrangement
• Amenable to work on a night shift schedule (8pm-5am)
