Job summary

Cebu Pacific Air seeks an experienced Application Security Architect to lead security initiatives within the Digital & Technology Office. The role focuses on designing and deploying security measures across API, cloud-native and container environments while overseeing IAM for partners and contractors.

Based in Pasay City with hybrid work flexibility, this senior position requires 7–10 years in security architecture and strong DevSecOps expertise; CISSP/CISM/CISA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or related field.
• CISSP/CISM/CISA or similar IT security certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, security metrics, and perimeter security.
• In-depth cybersecurity principles, best practices and industry standards for security solutions.
• Familiarity with perimeter security functions, methodologies and technologies.
• Experience investigating architecture and identifying security gaps.
• Experience monitoring and reporting on security metrics and incident response.
• 5+ years managing a team and 5+ years as a Security Architect.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategic security solutions to counteract cyber threats and align with risk appetite and business goals.
• Leads deployment of security technologies (firewalls, IDS, encryption tools).
• Leads identity and access management for third-party collaborators and freelancers.
• Reviews and documents perimeter security functions to fortify defenses.
• Monitors threats and vulnerabilities and mitigates breaches.
• Collaborates on root cause analyses of security incidents and recommends improvements.
• Investigates solution architecture and recommends enhancements.
• Promotes security awareness across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops and executes strategic security solutions to counteract current and emerging cyber threats, aligning with the organization's risk appetite and business goals.
• Leads the implementation and deployment of security technologies and solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption tools, and more.
• Leads identity and access management for third-party collaborators, business partners, and freelancers, ensuring secure and authorized access.
• Conduct thorough reviews and documentation of perimeter security functions to fortify the organization's defenses.
• Oversees the continuous monitoring of security threats and vulnerabilities, leveraging tools and resources to detect and mitigate potential breaches.
• Collaborate on root cause analyses of security incidents and recommend actionable improvements.
• Investigates solution architecture and recommend enhancements.
• Promotes security awareness and education across the organization to cultivate a culture of security.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• CISSP/CISM/CISAor other similar IT Security certification is preferred.
• Must have a strong understanding of identity and access management, security metrics, and perimeter security.
• Must have in-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry standards to design and implement effective security solutions.
• Must have familiarity with perimeter security functions, methodologies, and technologies.
• Must have an understanding ofsolution architecture investigation techniques, logical and physical, toidentifysecurity gaps.
• Must have a strongbackground inmonitoring and reporting on key security metrics,reviewing and documenting perimeter security functions, andincident detection, escalation, and response.
• Experience of 5 years managing a team.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Security Architect
• Must have a strong background on Architecting, deployment, operationalization and standardization of modern Application Security Solutions from code layer to traffic layer.
• Experience working and deploying in DevSecOps or Secure SDLC environments.
• Strong understanding of modern application architectures (API, microservices, cloud-native, containers).
• Must have a valid work visa or legal authorization to work in the Philippines.

Note: This position is for an Individual Contributor and will be based in Pasay City, Metro Manila but currently follows a hybrid workplace flexibility arrangement.
