About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Lead with strong expertise in IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database to oversee application development, database-related activities, and technical delivery. The role involves leading development teams, making technical decisions, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of reliable and efficient application solutions. The ideal candidate combines hands-on IBM IMS Database knowledge with technical leadership and database management expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, construction, and configuration of applications


• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in IBM IMS Database and provide technical guidance to the team


• Coordinate and manage team activities, support performance, and ensure effective delivery


• Take ownership of team-level technical decisions and contribute to decisions involving multiple teams


• Oversee application development activities and ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines and requirements


• Design, maintain, and optimize database structures to support application performance and reliability
