Job summary

Mercado General Hospital Inc. is seeking a talented full-stack developer to design, build, and support the hospital's web application. You will turn user stories from the BRS into clean, well-documented code and hand it over to the IT team.

You will collaborate with HR, IOH, and Billing to clarify requirements, create wireframes, and implement secure, scalable features that run across front-end and back-end with a modern MVC architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Health Informatics or related field.
• Hands-on experience in full-stack web development using JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js or Python (Django/Flask) or .NET.
• SQL schema design and query optimization on MySQL or PostgreSQL or MS SQL.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, and responsive UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Ability to translate business rules (MBL) into intuitive code.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Clarify user stories with HR, IOH, and Billing workshops.
• Turn stories into wireframes and a clear backlog.
• Design data models (Employee, LOA, Claims, Attachments).
• Build front-end and back-end web app using a clean MVC or similar architecture.
• Implement role-based login, dashboards, batch-upload, file-upload features.
• Code MBL calculations per policy (net of PhilHealth, inner limits, pro-rated balances).
• Write unit/integration tests for features.
• Follow OWASP Top 10 secure-coding practices; ensure uploads are virus-scanned and encrypted at rest.
• Prepare environment scripts or Docker files for one-step deployment.
• Set up automated backup and monitoring for 99% uptime.

Key responsibilities

About you

• Hands-on experience in full-stack web development (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js or Python + Django/Flask, or .NET)
• SQL schema design and query optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL)
• Hands-on experience with HTML 5, CSS, responsive UI frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar)
• Ability to translate business rules (MBL calculations, LOA flow) into code that end-users find intuitive
• Good written and verbal communication; able to explain tech to non-tech stakeholders
