Job summary

66degrees is seeking an experienced Apigee Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, secure, and automate API management on Google Cloud Platform. You will configure Apigee X proxies, implement robust security, and maintain multi-environment CI/CD pipelines across Dev, Staging, and Prod.

The contract role requires hands-on expertise in API proxies, mTLS, OAuth 2.0, and secret management; familiarity with Kyriba APIs and Google Apps Script is a plus. No visa sponsorship is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with Apigee X architecture, API proxies, KVMs, and GCP networking.
• Deep understanding of API security protocols including OAuth 2.0 flow mechanisms, JWT validation, and API key management.
• Secrets management with GCP Secret Manager, Vault, or Apigee KVMs.
• TLS/mTLS configuration and backend routing.
• CI/CD automation across environments using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build, Terraform.
• Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, Bruno, curl) and Apigee tracing.
• Experience with treasury integrations (e.g., Kyriba APIs) is a plus.
• Google Apps Script experience is a nice to have.
• Monitoring with Cloud Monitoring/Logging and alerting dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Apigee X API proxies, shared flows, and environments.
• Configure GCP networking components (VPC, PSC, Load Balancers, Cloud Armor).
• Implement enterprise security policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API keys.
• Manage credentials with GCP Secret Manager and Apigee KVMs.
• Configure TLS/mTLS and backend routing for diverse endpoints.
• Build and maintain multi-environment deployment pipelines (Dev, Staging, Prod).
• Perform end-to-end API testing and troubleshoot latency issues.
