Job summary

Inchcape is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist (APAC) to act as SME for payroll operations across the region, with primary focus on Singapore. You will own end-to-end payroll processing and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.

Collaborating with HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, and IT, you will drive standardization, automation, and data quality improvements. This regional role offers exposure to multiple markets and opportunities to lead transformation initiatives within People

Qualifications

• 7+ years of payroll experience, preferably across APAC markets.
• Strong understanding of tax, social security, and statutory compliance.
• Fluent English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong governance and accuracy.
• Able to work independently and act as SME when required.
• Experience in shared services or multinational environments is advantageous.
• Exposure to multiple payroll systems and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for APAC markets with focus on Singapore.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll, filings, and regulatory submissions.
• Provide guidance on payroll processes, compliance, and systems.
• Develop and maintain country-specific payroll SOPs and documentation.
• Drive process standardization and automation to reduce manual workarounds.
• Collaborate with Data & Reporting to improve data quality and insights.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with local laws.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, and IT to resolve payroll issues.
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to regional transformation initiatives and M&A support.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing to internal stakeholders.
